The Greater New Haven Cat Project, Inc. (GNHCP) was founded in 1996 by a small group of people who wanted to helpcats in their community. The original purpose of the organization was to spay/neuter feralcats,and to provide publiceducation about responsible pet ownership. Fourteen years later, the organization's focus remains the same, but it hasexpanded its spay/neuter services to include cats belonging topeople from low-income households and those who may have taken in an abandoned cat.GNHCP also sponsors crafts and educational workshops for children and adults. GNHCP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization based in New Haven.Its spay/neuter program is funded through private donations, fundraisers, and grants. Theorganizationprovides spay/neuter assistance to 500+ cats per year and also placescats and kittens into permanent homes. Hi, I'm Lina, and I'm looking for my forever home! With my big, beautiful eyes and adorable front paws, no one at the center is cuter when playing with the laser light or any other toy that's handy!
